If your home is one of the many that already has its tree trimmed and adorned, here’s a little something extra to add before Jolly Old Saint Nick parks his sleigh at your house. Put those finishing touches on your holiday decor with this homemade garland using just a few materials you might already have! It’s great for the tree or even a handrailing. Supplies

To make this craft, you will need:

  • Rope/Twine
  • Felt Sheets (White & Green)
  • Cardstock (Red)
  • Small Pop Poms (Red)
  • Holly Leaf Template
  • Pencil
  • Markers
  • Hot Glue
  • Hole Punch

Instructions

  1. Trace holly leaf template onto felt. (2 green for 1 white)
  2. Place a dot of glue on the base of each leaf and attach all 3 leaves together.
  3. Glue two pom poms onto top of the holly leaf.
  4. Glue completed holly bunch onto twine, placing them each about 4 inches apart.
  5. Cut cardstock into circles.
  6. Write your own message/word in the center.
  7. Punch hole in the center near the top
  8. Thread ribbon through the hole, then tie the circles to the twine in between holly bunches.
  9. You now have a holiday garland to add cheer to any room!
